About Aura
Aura is a premium, independent film & linear streaming platform built for the Washington, D.C. region — combining AI-powered discovery, integrated creator revenue-sharing, and 24/7 linear Aura Channels.
Our Mission
Independent storytellers deserve a home that respects their craft and pays them fairly. Aura gives filmmakers, musicians, and live broadcasters a stage that reaches audiences directly — with transparent royalties, brand-safe moderation, and a broadcast engine that feels like television, not a feed. We exist to elevate the region's creators and to give viewers a curated, ad-supported, and subscription-free way to experience their work.
What Makes Aura Different
AI-Powered Discovery
An intelligent assistant learns your taste and surfaces independent films, music videos, and live events you'd never find on algorithmic mega-platforms.
Aura Channels
24/7 linear channels programmed from the Aura library — a always-on broadcast experience, not an endless scroll.
Creator-First Revenue
An 80% creator / 10% Aura / 10% SyncStart royalty split keeps the people who make the work at the center of the economics.
From Phone to Broadcast
Approved creators go live straight from their phone to AWS IVS — no OBS, no relay, no gatekeeping between artist and audience.
Moderated & Safe
Donation QR codes, pay-per-view pricing, and live streams are reviewed by Aura admins so the community stays trusted.
