1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Aura (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you may not access or use the Platform. These terms apply to all visitors, viewers, and creators.
2. Description of Service
Aura is an independent film and live-streaming platform serving the Washington, D.C. region. The Platform offers on-demand films and music videos, 24/7 linear Aura Channels, live broadcasts, AI-powered discovery, donation and pay-per-view monetization, and creator royalty sharing. Aura reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time.
3. Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use Aura. To become a creator, broadcast live, or receive payouts, you must register an account, provide accurate information, and maintain its security. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
4. Creator Content & Broadcasts
Creators are solely responsible for the content they upload or broadcast. By publishing on Aura, you represent that you own or have cleared all rights to your content, including music, footage, and likenesses. Live broadcasts are subject to Aura admin moderation and may be suspended, hidden, or ended without notice for violations. Pay-per-view pricing and certain live-streaming privileges require Aura admin approval before they are enabled.
5. Royalties, Donations & Payouts
Aura's default revenue split for live content is 80% to the creator, 10% to Aura, and 10% to SyncStart for licensed-music royalty administration, unless a separate written agreement applies. Donations and pay-per-view revenue are collected by Aura and disbursed to creators according to the then-current payout schedule. Payouts require a verified payment profile and completed tax documentation. Aura reserves the right to withhold payouts pending verification or to comply with legal obligations.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Aura to upload, broadcast, or share content that is unlawful, infringing, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, dangerous, or fraudulent; not to circumvent moderation or payment systems; not to scrape or redistribute Platform data; and not to impersonate others. Aura may remove content and suspend accounts that violate these standards.
7. Intellectual Property
All Aura branding, channel programming, original stingers, and Platform software are the property of Aura or its licensors. Creator content remains the property of its creator, subject to the limited license you grant Aura to host, transcode, broadcast, and display it on the Platform for the purpose of operating the service.
8. Disclaimers
Aura is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free playback, or the accuracy of AI-generated recommendations. Live broadcasts depend on third-party infrastructure (including AWS) and may experience outages beyond Aura's control.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aura and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including loss of revenue, data, or audience, except where prohibited by law.
10. Changes to These Terms
Aura may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated on the Platform. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
